NOW Orchestra Records
Currently celebrating its 30th year, the New Orchestra Workshop Society (NOW) continues to be the vanguard of new and improvised music on Canada's West Coast. We produce concerts, workshops and have released a number of critically acclaimed recordings over the years.
Our latest initiative sees the birth of NOW Orchestra Records, an exciting new label that will feature original projects based in new and improvised music. Distribution of this new series of recordings will be through Cellar Live, one of Canada's premier jazz labels.
Since 2005, NOW has produced a series of Monday evening performances at Vancouver's Cellar Jazz Club, showcasing a blend of the best of established and upcoming artists. Out of this crucible, we're excited to have as our first live recording, the music of ion Zoo. With the November 19th release of *Set Free at The Cellar*, ion Zoo makes an impressive recording debut.
