I just have to say that I thought the SuperMusiqe concert at the ScotiaBank Dance Centre last Thursday was amazing.
Wonderfully structured improvisations and conductions led by Jean Derome, Danielle Palardy Roger, Diane Labrosse, and Michel F. Côté. The energy and focus was palpable. This made for great music. Can't leave out Joane Hétu, Pierre Tanguay, Némo Venba, Guido del Fabbro, Martin Tétreault and Lori Freedman.
High marks for Giorgio Magnanensi at Vancouver New Music for his continued brilliant artistic direction. It's great to have him in Vancouver injecting his great enthusiasm into our cultural scene.
